Tinsel Town is currently being filmed in Yorkshire for Sky Cinema
Sky has announced additional cast members for its upcoming Sky Original Christmas film, Tinsel Town, currently in production in the UK. The film stars the previously announced Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson.
Sutherland takes on the role of Bradley Mack, a washed-up Hollywood action star who finds himself in a quaint, snow-covered village to headline the town’s unconventional production of Cinderella. There, he meets an eclectic group of quirky locals who gradually win his heart, including the no-nonsense choreographer Jill, played by Wilson.

Joining the cast is comedian Katherine Ryan (The Duchess), who portrays Mack’s long-suffering agent. The village residents will be played by an impressive ensemble, including legendary British actor Derek Jacobi (Gladiator II), Mawaan Rizwan (Juice), Maria Friedman (Unforgotten), Jason Manford (Waterloo Road), Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing), Danny Dyer (Rivals), Ray Fearon (Barbie), Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness), Lucien Laviscount (Emily in Paris), and James Lance (Ted Lasso). Meera Syal (The Wheel of Time) has been cast as the production’s director. Additionally, breakout star Savannah Lee Smith (Cruel Intentions) has joined the lineup.
The screenplay is written by Frazer Flintham, Adam Brown, and Piers Ashworth, with additional contributions from Jake Brunger. Chris Foggin (Bank of Dave) is set to direct. The film is produced by Matt Williams and Pascal Degove at FAE, with executive producers Julia Stuart, Laura Grange, Piers Tempest, and Martin Owen.
Julia Stuart, Director of Original Film at Sky said: “We couldn’t be more pleased to welcome such a phenomenal array of talent to Tinsel Town. Their chemistry and unique performances will bring an extra layer of magic, mischief, and heart to what promises to be a festive treat for Sky audiences. We can’t wait to share it with the world later this year.”
