ITV is to launch a cookery competition to rival The Great British Bake Off, called ‘The Great Kitchen Cook Off’.
‘The Great Kitchen Cook Off’ will be filmed somewhere in beautiful parkland near Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and will see two presenters host and judge the competition. In a further twist, dishes will be sampled and rated by members of the public.
The Cook Off (working title) will be produced by one of the biggest companies in TV, Lifted Entertainment, which is the team behind massive shows including I’m A Celebrity, Love Island, The Voice and Saturday Night Takeway.
ITV is determined to have a cookery hit, having tried a number of different formats over the years. They’ve included Next Level Chef with Gordon Ramsay, Britain’s Best Bakery and more recently, Cooking with the Stars.
