Two-time Academy Award® winner Renée Zellweger returns to the iconic role that redefined the romantic comedy genre—Bridget Jones, the beloved heroine whose unique take on life and love captivated audiences worldwide.

Bridget first leapt off the pages of Helen Fielding’s bestselling novel Bridget Jones’s Diary, which became a global literary and cinematic sensation. As a single career woman navigating life in London, she introduced us to her romantic misadventures, added words like “Singletons,” “Smug Marrieds,” and “f—wittage” to our vocabulary, and ultimately found her happy ending—marrying top lawyer Mark Darcy (Academy Award® winner Colin Firth) and welcoming their baby boy.

But in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, happiness takes an unexpected turn. Now widowed for four years after Mark’s tragic death during a humanitarian mission in Sudan, Bridget is raising their two children—10-year-old Billy and 6-year-old Mabel—while navigating life as a single mother. With the support of her ever-loyal friends (including former flame Daniel Cleaver played by Hugh Grant), she tries to rebuild, balancing work, motherhood, and the modern dating world.

Venturing into the world of dating apps, Bridget soon finds herself pursued by a charming, younger man (Leo Woodall). Meanwhile, she grapples with judgment from the “perfect mums” at school, worries about Billy’s struggle with his father’s absence, and faces hilariously awkward encounters with his no-nonsense science teacher (Oscar® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor).
