The new series will begin 12 April, as we told you last week.
Set your alarms—it’s time! The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) is returning to your screens, this time accompanied by a new companion, Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu).
Season two officially premieres on Saturday, 12 April, at 8am on BBC iPlayer, and later that day on BBC One in the UK. For those outside the UK, you can join the Doctor and Belinda on their thrilling adventures on Disney+ where available.

And that’s not all… Emmy Award-winning Alan Cumming will guest star in the second episode as Mr. Ring-a-Ding. He’s a cheerful, musical cartoon character living in Sunny Town with his friend Sunshine Sally. However, in 1952, after years of being shown in cinemas, Mr. Ring-a-Ding suddenly becomes aware of the real world outside the screen—and the consequences are terrifying.
Alan Cumming’s portrayal of a tall, slim, powder-blue cartoon character emerging from red velvet curtains in a purple suit, yellow waistcoat, and pink bow tie is sure to be a highlight.
Russell T Davies, the Showrunner, shares: “Only Alan Cumming could bring so much wit, malice, danger, and fun to a runaway cartoon. He takes the Doctor Who universe to new heights, making it wilder and madder than ever. We’re thrilled to have him aboard the TARDIS.”
This new season stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra, and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Joining them on their journey through time and space are Rose Ayling-Ellis, Anita Dobson, Christopher Chung, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, and Susan Twist.
Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios for the BBC and Disney Branded Television.
