US pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo and British indie-pop band The 1975 will headline the iconic Glastonbury Festival this summer, as announced by the event’s organisers. The pair will take centre stage on the festival’s main Pyramid Stage, marking a highly anticipated return for both artists to one of the world’s most renowned music festivals.
Olivia Rodrigo, whose 2021 debut album SOUR rocketed her to international stardom with hits like “drivers license” and “good 4 u,” is known for her raw, emotional songwriting and genre-blending sound. The 1975, fronted by Matty Healy, have long been a favourite on the British music scene, blending indie rock with electronic and pop influences. Their Glastonbury performance promises to be a highlight of the festival.
Joining the headliners is Charli XCX, a boundary-pushing pop artist who has gained widespread acclaim for her experimental sound and innovative approach to pop music. The five-time Brit Award winner will take the spotlight on the festival’s second stage, performing on Saturday 28 June.

In addition to these established stars, Glastonbury will welcome a number of exciting new acts making their debut at the festival, including Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, whose landmark album Jagged Little Pill became a defining moment in 1990s alternative rock. Rising singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, known for his folk-pop style, will also take to the stage, alongside Gracie Abrams, an up-and-coming pop artist whose intimate lyrics have captivated fans worldwide. Lola Young, a soulful and powerful voice in UK R&B, and Doechii, a rapidly rising US rap sensation, will also bring their unique sounds to the West Holts stage.
Glastonbury will also see the return of fan favourites, including indie rockers Wolf Alice, the breakout band Wet Leg, and DJ Fatboy Slim, known for his high-energy performances. Loyle Carner, a British rapper who blends thoughtful lyricism with jazz-infused beats, will perform, alongside the always-entertaining Scissor Sisters.
Additionally, rock legend Neil Young is set to headline the Saturday night, while Rod Stewart will take on the prestigious Sunday afternoon “legend slot,” continuing the tradition of showcasing iconic acts. This summer’s Glastonbury promises to be a celebration of music, showcasing a blend of legendary artists and emerging talent.
