Channel 4 is to broadcast Leaving Neverland II: Surviving Michael Jackson on Tuesday 18 March 2025, the same night it will premiere on HBO in America.
Produced by the award-winning AMOS Pictures and filmed over five years with full access to Wade, James, their families, and legal teams, Leaving Neverland II: Surviving Michael Jackson chronicles a challenging journey filled with numerous twists, turns, and setbacks. Returning, multi-award-winning director Dan Reed captures the second phase of Wade and James’s quest, which is now nearing its conclusion.
The third and final film will cover the trial, set for late 2026, completing the Leaving Neverland trilogy. If their cases are successful, the potential positive impact on the US entertainment industry could be substantial. Music and film companies will no longer be able to ignore their responsibility when one of their stars sexually abuses a minor under their care.

The documentary also explores the effect of its 2019 predecessor, Leaving Neverland, as well as Oprah Winfrey’s follow-up programme, on the two men and their families, as well as on the devoted Michael Jackson fan community.
