Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero trailer and release date are here

Drama will launch 2 March 2025 on BBC One

The BBC has revealed the release date, trailer, and new artwork for Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero. The three-part drama will be available in full on BBC iPlayer from 6am on Sunday, 2 March, with episodes airing weekly on BBC One from 9pm that evening.

Based on the timeless mystery by the world’s best-selling author, Agatha Christie, the series has been adapted for television by BAFTA-nominated Rachel Bennette (NW) and directed by Olivier Award-winner Sam Yates (Magpie). Towards Zero is produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited for BBC iPlayer and BBC One, in partnership with BritBox International, with FIFTH SEASON handling global distribution.

The 30-second trailer introduces viewers to Saltcreek, where the formidable Lady Tressilian (Anjelica Huston) gathers a group of guests at her coastal estate, Gull’s Point. Among them are Inspector Leach (Matthew Rhys), family lawyer Mr Treves (Clarke Peters), British tennis star Nevile Strange (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), his ex-wife Audrey (Ella Lily Hyland), and his new wife Kay (Mimi Keene). Also present are lady’s companion Mary Aldin (Anjana Vasan), estranged cousin Thomas Royde (Jack Farthing), mysterious valet Mac (Adam Hugill), and Mr Treves’ ward Sylvia (Grace Doherty).

Set in England in 1936, the story follows Nevile Strange and his ex-wife Audrey, who make the shocking decision to spend the summer together at Gull’s Point, the childhood home of Nevile’s aunt, Lady Tressilian. With unresolved emotions between the former lovers and the presence of Nevile’s new wife, tensions quickly escalate. Add a devoted yet weary lady’s companion, a secretive valet, a vengeful cousin, a shrewd lawyer, an inquisitive orphan, and a devious French con man—murder soon becomes inevitable. As jealousy, deception, and hidden grudges surface, a troubled detective must untangle a deadly web before another victim falls.

A high-stakes love triangle, a powerful matriarch, and a house filled with secrets. All drawn Towards Zero.

Towards Zero follows the success of Murder is Easy in 2023, which became one of the UK’s most-watched new dramas across all platforms, drawing an average of 7 million viewers.
