itv’s flagship reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! remains under threat tonight, with the news that Wales are introducing strict new lockdown measures.

Producers were forced to relocate the show from its usual home in Australia to Gwrych Castle in Wales and have been spending millions in creating an appropriate set in order to make the show viable.

However strict new measures imposed by the Welsh government mean anybody living in a highly infected area of England can no longer enter the country, and it’s feared if the new measures don’t make a positive impact quickly, even tighter controls will be put in place making it impossible for the show to go ahead.

It won’t be clear until next month whether the series will happen, but a spokesperson from itv has told The Sun online it’s business as usual and work on the set continues.
