In this new series for Sky Arts, Elbow frontman and broadcaster Guy Garvey lifts the lid on two decades of TV gold – with era-defining musical performances, long lost studio appearances and revealing interviews that have remained on the shelves for decades.

In this opening episode the spotlight is on 1979 – including the first ever broadcast of three songs from a previously unseen Manchester concert by one of Guy’s best-loved artistes – Kate Bush.There’s also early performances from Dire Straits, The Pretenders and The Police and the raw TV debuts of The Teardrop Explodes and Echo & The Bunnymen.
