Disney’s new live action ‘Mulan’ movie is to come to Disney+ after months of delays in pursuing a big screen release.
The latest big budget reboot will come to the platform on 24 September, six months after its intended release.
Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek said “We’re looking at ‘Mulan’ as a one-off as opposed to saying there’s some new business windowing model that we’re looking at,”. The film won’t be available within the $6.99 monthly deal however, and fans will have to fork out $29.99 in what Disney+ are calling an experiment to gage appetite.
In the UK and other countries, it is likely the film will still be released in cinemas.
